Moebel.de

Moebel.de has been Germany's first address when it comes to living and furnishing since 2007. Sitting, sleeping, eating and storing, indoors and outdoors - at Möbel.de, people search and find. The company leads approximately 5 million visitors per month to fast, simple and effective furniture with its partners. From inexpensive to exclusive, top seller to unique - more than 250 online stores, over 2,000 brand sites, around 10,000 stationary dealers as well as over 1,000 designers and furnishing experts are found via moebel.de and currently present themselves on the platform.

Initial situation

moebel.de Einrichten & Wohnen AG uses various third-party software solutions to carry out processes in accounts receivable, order processing and risk management. Above all, the operator of the platform relies on its own core competencies, the development and improvement of its own platform and the orientation towards the needs of the users. The approximately 5 million monthly visitors include both consumers and business customers. Depending on the type of customer, customers can choose from various payment methods in the online store. When orders are processed, disruptions in payment behavior or receivables from the invoice payment method are transferred to the internal monitoring of open items.

Motivation & Requirement

Particularly in the processing of orders with purchase on account, disruptions in the payment behavior of customers occur time and again. So Möbel.de quickly looked for a suitable service provider to automate the optimization of debtor processes. The primary goal was to accelerate the processes and save resources at the same time. By increasing efficiency, the company wanted to reduce the work pressure in the finance area, which had risen sharply in recent years, and thus implement a scalable process that was less prone to errors. The new process should not only be cheaper and faster, but also run automatically as far as possible and support the daily work with customers without jeopardizing the customer relationship. The company was looking for modern applications in the areas of credit management, accounts receivable management and receivables management. Möbel.de had the requirement that the business case for introducing the solution should pay for itself within a few months and that other positive effects should be triggered (shortening of DSO, less capital tied up, lower process costs, etc.).

"The demands on the financial processes of a very fast-growing company are enormous. It is important to find the right balance between automation and flexibility while preserving the company's resources. Bilendo is our partner of choice in this respect."
